Marianne Potts

Trust HR Officer

"Passionate about empowering individuals to reach their full potential, I believe in creating environments that foster well-being, drive engagement, and champion equality. In education, every challenge is an opportunity to inspire growth and make a lasting impact on both staff and students."

Born and raised in Burton upon Trent, I graduated from the University of Derby with a BA (Hons) in Criminology and Psychology. My career began with Derbyshire Constabulary as a PCSO, where I honed my skills in communication, conflict resolution, and the vital importance of confidentiality, experiences that shaped my approach to problem-solving and people management.

After deciding to explore new horizons, I transitioned to the construction industry, where I spent 10 years building both my career and my family. The pandemic sparked a desire for a role where I could truly make a difference, leading me to HR within a large logistics company. There, I was exposed to a diverse range of HR challenges and took on the responsibility of delivering impactful projects and initiatives. This ignited my passion for people management and inspired me to further my knowledge through CIPD qualifications.

I am passionate about creating environments that prioritise well-being, foster engagement, and champion equality.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, exploring new destinations, and making unforgettable memories with my family.
