I recently joined the team in January in my role as Principal, which is my first Headship.  I have always been passionate about teaching and in my twenty years of experience, I have spent the majority of that in leadership roles, including leading on curriculum, maths and early years.  I am very driven and always strive to do my best for the children in my care.

I am Burton born and bred having attended de Ferrers Secondary School myself.  I feel privileged to serve the community in which I grew up, being able to give something back and improve the life chances of young people.

I am very family-oriented and enjoy spending time with both them and my friends.  My passions are music and dance and I enjoy a pub quiz, a good book as well as walks out.
