The de Ferrers Academy is a part of Affinity Learning Partnership. We are a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.
Following on from 10 years as a specialist Technology College, de Ferrers became an Academy in January 2011. It has grown into a large, split-site, co-educational institution catering for the full range of students from ages 11-18. In 2015 de Ferrers became the first school of Affinity Learning Partnership (a Multi Academy Trust).
Our vision is to ensure that all the children and young people in our care have the opportunity to fulfil their potential through achieving highly, regardless of their ability or background.

The Candidate
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? We are looking for a dynamic and approachable individual to join our team as a Behaviour Support Assistant. You will play a vital role in creating a positive and supportive school environment, fostering excellent behaviour, and helping students reach their full potential. With your strong communication skills and ability to connect with both children and adults, you’ll be a trusted presence across the academy.
The successful candidate will thrive on variety and enjoy a challenge, whether it’s coordinating detentions, managing behaviour systems, or assisting with administrative tasks. You’ll be the go-to person for ensuring smooth communication between staff, parents, and external agencies, all while being a visible and encouraging role model for students. If you’re organised, proactive, and confident with basic technology, this role is perfect for you.
