Richard Wakefield is a part of Affinity Learning Partnership. We are a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.

At Richard Wakefield C.E. Primary Academy, everyone works with pride to achieve their personal best. There are 252 pupils aged from 3 to 11 years. Many of the children live in the lovely village of Tutbury, which is about 5 miles from Burton-upon-Trent. The school is fortunate to have the spectacular setting of Tutbury Castle in the background.

The Candidate

Join our dedicated school team as a Caretaker, where you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for our students and staff. We are seeking a proactive individual who can take ownership of site safety and security while managing tasks like maintenance, repairs, resource and document management, and Health & Safety oversight.

In this role, you’ll bring a keen eye for detail to ensure our facilities are consistently clean, safe, and well-maintained. Strong literacy and numeracy skills, along with a positive, approachable attitude toward children, are essential. Prior experience as a Caretaker or in the building trade is highly desirable.
