The de Ferrers Academy

The de Ferrers Academy is a part of Affinity Learning Partnership. We are a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.
Following on from 10 years as a specialist Technology College, de Ferrers became an Academy in January 2011. It has grown into a large, split-site, co-educational institution catering for the full range of students from ages 11-18.
Excellent funding has allowed the Academy to enhance resources and equipment and widely promote the use of new technologies. There are digital projectors and flat screen TVs in all curriculum areas with over 500 computers and laptops across all sites.
Our vision is to ensure that all the children and young people in our care have the opportunity to fulfil their potential through achieving highly, regardless of their ability or background.

The Candidate
Join The de Ferrers Academy as a passionate and dedicated Science teacher, where you’ll inspire curiosity and foster a love for science in our students through engaging and innovative lessons.
We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher with a deep commitment to science education, ready to bring creativity and excitement into the classroom. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and elevate the Science curriculum, guided by the latest research and best practices in effective teaching.
As a collaborative team member, you will be instrumental in upholding high standards of learning, progress, and positive behaviour across the Academy. Your expertise and dedication will support students in achieving their best and cultivate a stimulating environment for academic and personal growth.
