Richard Wakefield C.E. Primary Academy

At Richard Wakefield C.E. Primary Academy, everyone works with pride to achieve their personal best. There are 269 pupils aged from 3 to 11. Many of the children live in the lovely village of Tutbury, which is about five miles from Burton-on-Trent. The school is fortunate to have the spectacular setting of Tutbury Castle in the background.

Pupil views are actively sought and respected.  Our Pupil Leadership Team have key responsibilities and School Council helps to make decisions about events related to charities and things that affect the well-being of all our pupils.  

We aim to offer high quality education by having a clear vision, which is defined in our school mission, and we promote and support our Trust values of ‘Work hard, be kind, choose wisely’.
